In the United States of America and Canada we have an organization called the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB)
which applies and enforces content ratings of video and computer games. The goal of the organization is provide to the public easy visual access about the content of a video game. This is similar to the ratings that movies have.

This is how the ESRB breaks it down:

1. EC early childhood, For children 3 and up
2. E Everyone, ages 6 and up.
3. E +10 may contain mild violance, language and/or minimal suggestive themes
4. T For teens
5. M Mature, 17 and up
6. AO Adult Only
7. RP Not Rated Yet
